ZONING HEARING/PUBLIC HEARING

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall conduct a Zoning Public Hearing requiring Public Hearing on Monday, May 20, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 9705 East Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL.  Discussion and public input will be welcomed concerning the following item that may be of interest to your immediate neighborhood.

Item 1: The following item requiring a public hearing is being considered pursuant to Section 30-30.10 of the Village's Land Development Code:

Request: A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO ZONING IN PROGRESS (ZIP) PURSUANT TO SECTION 30-30.10; DURING WHICH TIME THE COUNCIL WILL REVIEW AND CREATE SECTION 30-60.32; THIS SECTION SHALL ADDRESS REGULATION OF MEDICAL CANNABIS DISPENSARIES, MEDICAL MARIJUANA TREATMENT FACILITIES, AND INDEPENDENT TESTING LABORATORIES WITHIN THE MEDICAL MARIJUANA  WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY BY THE EARLIER OF 120 DAYS OR THE FINAL ADOPTION OF THE VILLAGE REVISIONS TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; FOR THE DURATION OF THE ZIP, NO DEVELOPMENT ORDERS OF ANY KIND IN RELATION TO MEDICAL MARIJUANA SHALL BE ISSUED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 

Item 2: The following item is being considered pursuant to Section 30-50.4 Estate Modified (E-M) Zoning District and Section 30-30.6 variances of the Village's Land Development Code:

Request: Request for approval of non-use variance of front and interior side setbacks for a swimming pool for a parcel zoned Estate Modified Single Family (E-M) District, pursuant to Section 30.50.4 Estate Modified (E-M) Zoning District; and Section 30- 30.6, Variances.
