Palmetto Bay Council and staff had a wonderful time, recently attending the West Perrine Community Development Corporation's 18th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Parade.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., served as a voice of conscience for our Nation, and his words continue to inspire courage, humility, compassion, and love for our fellow man. Through Dr. King’s heroic efforts, multitudes became focused on the plight of the poor and those who suffered from injustice. We all must remember what Dr. King said in his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech, “…nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral question of our time – the need for man to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to violence and oppression.”
