About the Village Attorney

The Village Attorney position is one of the three Chartered positions in the Village. The Village Attorney is appointed by the Village Council and reports to the Village Council. The Village is fortunate to have the excellent services of the highly experienced attorneys of the firm FBM Law Offices, as the Village's counsel, primarily assisted by Attorney Eve Boutsis. Attorney Boutsis provides high quality counseling and advice to the Council. She and the staff of FBM Law Offices are highly experienced in all aspects of municipal law and have been serving as counsel to the Village of Palmetto Bay since the Village's incorporation.

Goals

  • Endeavor to always provide the highest quality legal services to the Village.
  • Vigorously maintain professional independent judgment and adhere to a high standard of ethics.
  • Ensure that the legal process remains apolitical and provide the Village with clear and useful legal advice. In providing legal advice, the main objectives shall be to aid the Village in accomplishing its legitimate objectives and to avoid legal trouble.
  • Assist the Village in implementing the ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and interlocal agreements necessary to assist the Village Manager establish the daily operations, functions, tax base, and code of ordinances for the Village, including a land development code tailored to the needs of the Village

Biography- Eve A. Boutsis, Esquire

Attorney Eve A. Boutsis is a partner in the firm Nagin, Gallop & Figueredo, P.A. Born in New York, NY; admitted to bar, 1996, Florida; 2000, New York; 2001, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. Education: Eckerd College (B.A., 1991); University of Miami (J.D., 1995). Member: The Florida Bar (Member, Sections on: Environmental and Land Use; Local Government Law); Miami-Dade County Bar Association; American Bar Association (Member, State and Government Law Section). Languages: English, Spanish and Greek. Practice Areas: Appellate Practice; Land Use; Government Law; Civil Practice.
