The Mayor's Fitness Challenge winners are: Top female & overall winner - Jacqueline Leon and top male: Ahmad Tavakoly. Thank you to all of our Mayor's Fitness Challenge participants for all of your hardwork and dedication. Just because the challenge is over, doesn't mean you can't stay fit with Palmetto Bay. Be sure to keep an eye out for all of our upcoming events.

Mayor Flinn continues to challenge everyone to use Village programs & park amenities as well as sponsor/partner resources to lose weight and reach their individual health goals.

The Mayor's Fitness Challenge is a 7-week program that started on January 10th that required participants to register by January 16th and follow their progress for the 7-week period, recorded in a final health assessment by Baptist Health.  Program participants received an initial wellness assessment adminstered by Baptist Health, which included weigh-in and body composition measurements.  About 35 registered residents also received a "goodie bag", a Health Passport to track measurements, two passes to Yoga-by-the-Bay; and discounts and freebies from program partners. Please see the Mayor's Fitness Challenge Rules for more information.

During the 7-week Mayor's Challenge program, additional programs are being offered including Sunday Beach Volleyball at Coral Reef Park, Sunday Bike Rides with the Mayor, and Friday Kickball at Palmetto Bay Park. At the conclusion of the Challenge, the top male and female participants will be honored by Mayor Flinn during an award ceremony and will receive prizes during the Village’s Annual Celebration Picnic on March 5.
