The Village of Palmetto Bay is seeking individuals who would like to serve on our Historic Preservation Board. The Board serves in an advisory role to identify and administer historical, cultural, archeological, and architectural resources in the Village. This Board is bound by the State of Florida Sunshine Laws.
The Historic Preservation Board currently has two openings. If interested, your resume shall be reviewed by staff, provided to the Village Council, and the Council will appoint the members at a future meeting. This Board normally meets one evening per month.
To qualify, you must be experienced in one of the following fields:
• Architecture
• Planning
• Archeology
• History
• Art History
• Historic Preservationist
One member of the Board by virtue of the civic involvement or concern for historic preservation may be appointed to the Board. Please complete this application and return it either in person at Village Hall or via e-mail (with all required documents) no later than Sept. 2, 2011.
