NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Village Council of the Village of Palmetto Bay, Florida will conduct a public hearing during its regular Council Meeting on June 3, 2013 beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Village Hall Council Chambers, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL to consider the following described resolution:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE ART-IN-PUBLIC PLACES (AIPP) PROGRAM, ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION FROM THE AIPP ADVISORY BOARD TO APPROVE THE PUBLIC ART WORK ENTITLED “THE GATHERING” AS DESIGNED BY MICHAEL MCLAUGHLIN AND MODIFIED BY THE AIPP BOARD, TO INSTALL PUBLIC ART WITHIN THE PLAZA AREA OF VILLAGE HALL, LOCATED AT 9705 EAST HIBISCUS STREET; AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT NEGOTIATION TO PURCHASE THE PUBLIC ART PIECE WHICH SHALL BE PAID THROUGH THE ART-IN-PUBLIC PLACES FUND IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $45,000; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The said resolution can be inspected in the Village Clerk’s Office, Monday – Friday during regular office hours. Inquiries concerning these items should be directed to the Village Manager’s office at: (305) 259-1234. All interested parties are invited to attend and will be heard.
Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the Village hereby advises the public that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by this Board, Agency or Council with respect to any matter considered at its meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

The Village of Palmetto Bay Educational Compact Advisory Committee shall be meeting on Monday, May 28, 2013, at 6:30 p.m., at Village Hall, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street. Any person may contact the Village Hall at 305-259-1234 for information.
Notice is further given that Village of Palmetto Bay Council members may be present at the meeting and speak on matters that may be considered at this or future meetings.
Sunshine Meetings
NOTICE OF COMMUNITY MEETING
Mayor Shelley Stanczyk shall be conducting a community meeting on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Chambers, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss Fire Rescue Services in the northeast end of the Village.
Any person may contact the Village Hall at (305) 259-1234 for information.
