DEC. 2, 2011, PALMETTO BAY – Officers Pete Judge Oscar Roque enrolled a total of 30 students today at Howard Drive Elementary School for the next radKIDS class (week of Dec. 5-9).
"With all the stories in the media about child safety, this is a prime opportunity for Village students and parents to take full advantage of this youth safety and personal empowerment program we've been providing here for over two two years," said Officer Judge.
Graduation happens Dec. 9 at 6 pm in the school cafeteria, during which time kids will showcase their new self-defense skills on live "abductors" (police in padding), by kicking and screaming their way to safety. The Village Mayor and Council Members have also been invited to attend.
