VILLAGE-WIDE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PHASE V

Palmetto Bay Drainage System Work Continues

PALMETTO BAY, FL, MAR 26, 2013 -- A major capital improvement program is now underway in the Village of Palmetto Bay -- the Phase V Drainage Project -- to address roadway flooding issues in localized areas throughout the municipal area. The drainage improvements consist of introducing additional catch basins and exfiltration trenches at low points in the roadway and connections to drainage wells. Existing catch basins will be modified or reconstructed as required to provide sediment traps and pollution retardant baffles to protect the exfiltration trench and canal outfalls. Site 1 work began March 18. View the traffic flow plan -- MOT, or Maintenance of Traffic -- for work in this area. Also, view this general overview of the Phase-V Project map/schedule.
