The Village Council is vested with all legislative powers of the Village. The Village Council acts as the decision-making entity that is responsible for enacting ordinances, adopting the Village budget and establishing policies for the operation of the Village government and delivery of municipal service.

The Village Council consists of the Mayor, Vice Mayor and three residential Councilmembers. A Councilmember is elected to a Seat from each residential area. The Residential Areas corresponding to each Seat are generally set forth below:
