The Palmetto Bay Foundation is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization
intended to assist the Village in its goal to enhance the lives
of all Palmetto Bay residents and serve the community at large.
The Foundation was formed to raise the educational and social
levels of the residents of the Village of Palmetto Bay and
to foster and promote community-wide interest and preservation
of the Palmetto Bay history. Its purpose is to support programs
that are charitable, educational and scientific in nature,
and which are intended to serve a public interest, particularly
for the Palmetto Bay community. The Foundation will accomplish
this by seeking funding opportunities available to foundations
and nonprofit organizations, gifts and contributions that further
its charitable and educational goals. To that extent, the Village
will be hiring a grant-writer specializing in the foundation
arena to secure funding in accordance with the priorities of
the Foundation as well as the Village.
The Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors composed
of five members. The Board is vested with the management of
the business and affairs of the Foundation. The Board of Directors
consists of the following members:
