About the Vice Mayor
In accordance with the Village Charter, in the absence or incapacity of the Mayor, the Vice Mayor has all the powers, authority, duties, and responsibilities of the Mayor.
The Vice Mayor is part of the Village Council, the legislative body of the Village. The Council is vested with all decision-making powers, including the responsibility of enacting ordinances, adopted the Village budget and establishing policies for the operation of the Village government and delivery of municipal service.
Biography- Linda Robinson
Vice Mayor Linda Robinson is a very
active Real Estate Broker with Keller Williams Realty. During
her 30 years in the business, she has received many top honors
and remains recognized as a leading professional in her field.
Linda specializes in Palmetto Bay and surrounding areas, selling
all types of real estate - from luxury waterfront homes to commercial
property. A resident of Palmetto Bay since 1971, Vice Mayor Robinson
was a driving force in the area’s incorporation. She has
served as both a member and Chairperson of Area 13 Community
Council that was established to address zoning issues and concerns
of Palmetto Bay before incorporation. She initiated the Citizen’s
Steering Committee for Palmetto Bay where her husband Ken was
Treasurer.
A community activist for many years, Vice Mayor Robinson
served as PTA President of Coral Reef Elementary and Advisory Chairperson
for both Southwood Middle School and Palmetto Senior High School. She is a Graduate
of Case Western Reserve University and the proud mother of David and
Lisa and grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren.
Accomplishments
Now serving her second term in office, Vice Mayor Robinson is proud to continue
working with the Council and residents of the Village of Palmetto Bay
to achieve excellence in community service. In her capacity as Council Liaison to the Committees of special events, building and permitting and public information, Vice Mayor Robinson will continue to promote and support the goals of the Village, particularly in these areas.
