Biography
Councilmember Patrick Fiore represents District 1 of the Village, which includes the area north of SW 152 St. to SW 136 St. A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Fiore relocated to Florida in 1990. He and his wife Judi, and children Alexandria and Gian Carlo, subsequently moved to the Village of Palmetto Bay in 2007. Fore more than 30 years, Mr. Fiore has built a rewarding career in the field of Children & Family/Human Services. Mrs. Judi Fiore teaches at Howard Drive Elementary, Gian Carlo attends Coral Reef High School, and Alexandria is pursing undergraduate studies.
Accomplishments
Mr. Fiore's community-service record includes an appointment by the Board of County Commissioners in 2000 as a member of the West Kendall Community Council. Elected outright in 2004, he served two terms as Chairman of that Council until 2007. Additionally, Mr. Fiore was active in the Hammocks Homeowner's Association. As both his children are accomplished athletes, Mr. Fiore also takes an avid interest in youth sports, volunteering to coach baseball, soccer with the Hammocks Optimist Club, and football with the South-Dade YMCA in Palmetto Bay.
Elected to the District-1 Seat on the Palmetto Bay Village Council on Nov. 16, 2010, Mr. Fiore wishes to continue the progress this municipality has made since incorporating in 2002. He is also committed to working with municipal, county, state, and federal partners to improve the high quality of life the residents of Palmetto Bay enjoy, while striving to ensure a business-friendly climate that brings jobs and opportunities to the Village.
After retiring in 2012 from a State of Florida position in Children & Family/Human Services, Mr. Fiore continues his humanitarian work providing vocational services to veterans and other clients of Camillus House, a Miami-based 501(c) 3 non-profit agency serving the indigent and homeless.
