Sub-Basin 59/60 Drainage Improvement Project


About the Project

Sub-basin 59/60 drainage improvement project was identified when the Village contracted with Kimley Horn in 2014 to update our previous 2004 Stormwater Management Master Plan which is used to identify projects and apply for grant funds to alleviate ongoing flooding and drainage issues that had been plaguing residents in this and other neighborhoods for years.

Project Area

  • SW 82nd Avenue between SW 152nd Street and SW 160th Street; and
    localized improvements at the intersection of SW 160
  • localized improvements at the intersection of SW 160th Street and SW 81st Avenue

Project Cost & Scope

  • Cost; $1.1 million
  • Scope of Work:  design, permitting, construction and installation of additional catch basins, manholes, culverts, and exfiltration trench is recommended to interconnect the catch basins. Additionally, the cleaning and flushing of all sediments and debris from existing catch basins and pipes and adjust catch basin elevations and locations to minimize accumulation of sediment and debris.
