Alarm Registration and Renewal Information

Alarm System KeypadAll burglar alarm systems operating within village limits must be registered by the user with the Village of Palmetto Bay, Finance Department.  

You can register your new alarm or renew your existing registration online, via fax or email or by regular mail.  See the options below: 

Using the Online Registration and Renewal Portal

If you recently purchased a new home or business in Palmetto Bay OR recently installed a new alarm system for your home or business, you must register your alarm system.  Following the initial registration, you will need to renew your registration annually.  

Choose one of the following options

  • Register Online (Crywolf):   
    • New Alarm Registrations:  Visit our online alarm registration site and register as a new user.  Follow the instructions to complete the required information.  Print and mail in your new registration form along with your personal check with the required payment amount.  If paying by cash, money order or credit card, you must pay in person at Village Hall (see payment information below.)
    • Alarm Renewals:  Enter your username and password to access your online account. Fill-in the required information and print the registration form. Submit your renewal form along with your personal check with the required payment amount. If paying by cash, money order or credit card, you must pay in person at Village Hall (see payment information below.)  The Village sends out renewal notices each year based on the alarm registration date. Please make sure to complete your renewal before the expiration date posted on the notice to avoid paying a registration fee.

Registering By Mail

For those who do not have Internet access, you may still register and renew your alarm by mail.

  • Register/renew by mail:
    • Download and complete the Registration / Renewal Form (PDF)
    • Submit the form via email*
    • Submit the form via fax to 305-259-1290*
    • Send by regular mail to*:

IMPORTANT:  If payment is due with your registration or your renewal, payment will be required to finalize your new alarm registration or alarm renewal. 

Accepted Forms of Payment

  • Personal checks or Money Orders:  personal checks or money orders are accepted and may be submitted in person or via regular mail to:

  • Cash:  Cash payments must be made in person at the Cashier's Office located on the first floor of Village Hall.  Bills no higher than $20 are accepted.   Make your appointment online.
  • Major Credit Card:  Credit card payments can be made online through the Online Registration and Renewal portal or in person at the Cashier's Office located on the first floor of Village Hall.  Make your appointment online.  Please note that there is a 2.25% processing fee for all credit card payments.  Credit cards accepted include:
