Planning & Zoning Accepting All Zoning Applications



Previously, the Village announced that acceptance of new Planning & Zoning applications would be suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  As non-essential businesses are allowed to operate throughout the county, the Village is accepting all Planning & Zoning applications effective immediately.

Interim Process for Submittal:


Applicant’s who wish to submit a new zoning application must send an email request to Community & Economic Dev. Director, Maria Pineda. The email must contain the following information:

  1. Property Folio #
  2. Property/ Site Address
  3. Intent of development or zoning request
  4. Applicant's name & contact information, including a mobile number

Applicants will receive a confirmation email with any other relevant information or steps to follow.  Completed applications and addenda are to be dropped off at the dropbox located at the main entrance to Village Hall.  Drop off times are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, excluding holidays.

Non-Essential Businesses Reopen in the County, Including Palmetto Bay



Effective Monday, May 18th, non-essential businesses previously closed under county order are allowed to reopen with certain restrictions.  

To assist businesses with the implementation of the new restrictions, Miami-Dade County has issued the "Initial Reopening Plan" detailing the rules under which businesses may operate.

To further assist our own businesses locally, Palmetto Bay contacted commercial owners to provide the county plan along with information detailing the specific protocols that apply to their business type.  That information is included below:
