Useful Tips

  • If a property is not connected to Miami-Dade Water and Sewer, the property owner is ultimately responsible for all stormwater utility fees imposed under Village Code of Ordinance 06-07.
  • If you are the owner of a commercial property, as owner of the property you are responsible to pay the Stormwater Fees, if office space is unoccupied, it is the property owners responsibility to satisfy the utility fee imposed in accordance with Village Code of Ordinance 06-07
  • If you are renting your property, you as the property owner are ultimately responsible for all stormwater utility fees. The Village will not attempt to collect utility fees from a tenant unless tenant is directly billed stormwater charges by Miami Dade Water Sewer.
  • The monies within the fund shall be used exclusively for Village operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of the stormwater collection, storage, treatment, and conveyance infrastructure. Project cost related to constructing major and minor structural improvements to stormwater related infrastructure as provided in the Stormwater Master Plan.
  • Please keep in mind that this is an Ordinance and therefore, the Village of Palmetto Bay has the right to pursue other means of attaining payment from the owner of the property for lack of payment and / or place a lien upon a property for which fees are due.
