Important Information Regarding Council Meetings:

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and recommendations to stay SAFER AT HOME, Palmetto Bay will be conducting meetings virtually in the manner described below for each meeting:

  • Council Meeting of April 6, 2020 will be conducted virtually. Meeting will be streamed live online, on WBAY and on Facebook
  • Special Council Meeting for Zoning Applicant of April 7, 2020 will be conducted virtually. Meeting will be streamed live online, on WBAY and on Facebook.  See meeting agenda and meeting notice.  The meeting will open, and once the item is called, it will be continued to a time and date certain, which will be announced at the meeting.
  • Public Comments: submit your public comments using this Public Comments Online Form.  Complete and submit the form before 6 pm on the meeting date.
    • Public comment forms received before 6 pm on the meeting date will be read with the corresponding agenda item number during the meeting.
    • Public comment forms received after 6 pm will be read at the end of the meeting.
Notice About Virtual Meetings:  virtual meetings are being allowed pursuant to State of Florida Executive Order No. 20-69 issued on March 20, 2020 due to new social guidelines requiring social distancing and stay safer at home protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Read the Executive Order.

Most meetings of the Village Council are held at the Palmetto Bay Municipal Center located at 9705 E. Hibiscus Street. Any meeting may be opened and continued and, under such circumstances, additional legal notice would not be provided. Any person may contact the Village Hall at 305-259-1234 or the Village Clerk for further information.

Please adhere to Village Code 2-45 concerning Decorum: All speakers must address their remarks to the mayor, speak in a dignified and courteous manner, and avoid admonishing individual members of the public, council and representatives of the village. Should a member of the audience become unruly or behave in an improper manner that is prejudicial to the dignified conduct of the meeting, the mayor shall have the power to require the person to leave the meeting and to be accompanied, if necessary, by a police officer. In the event the audience becomes unruly the mayor may either recess or adjourn the meeting.
