The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Special Council Meeting on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157. The purpose of this meeting is to review and discuss the Parks Master Plan for Palmetto Bay Park presented by the Village Administration. This meeting is preceding the Local Planning Agency Meeting/Zoning Hearing.



SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - DOWNTOWN URBAN VILLAGE (DUV) CODE DRAFTING SESSION
Tuesday, April 23, 2019 - 6:00 PM (preceding the Committee of the Whole Workshop)

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157. This meeting is a drafting session to review and discuss the overall zoning sector boundaries, densities, and heights of the Downtown Urban Village (DUV) code. This meeting is preceding the Committee of the Whole Workshop.



REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING/PUBLIC HEARING
Monday, May 6, 2019 - 7:00 PM (awards, presentations, and proclamations will commence at approximately 6:30 PM)
Village Hall Municipal Center, 9705 East Hibiscus Street

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Regular Council Meeting on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 7:00 PM (awards, presentations, and proclamations will commence at approximately 6:30 PM). The meeting shall be held at the Village Hall Chambers, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157. Several matters of interest to the community shall be heard during the meeting that require public hearing. 

The following Ordinances shall be heard on Second Reading.  A public hearing shall be held on the following matters:

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, relating to advisory boards or committees; modifying division 3 of the village’s code of ordinances relating to advisory boards or committees; PROVIDING FOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.   • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO VILLAGE neutrality in elections and referenda; providing that no village property or resources shall be used to support or oppose any candidate in any election or any issue in any referendum; providing that such prohibition does not prohibit distribution of election or issue literature on palmetto bay property, and does not prohibit any candidate or issue advocate from speaking to members of the public on village property, provided that such distribution or speaking does not disrupt or impair the conduct of any meeting or other village business; PROVIDING FOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Pursuant to section 30-30.3(d)(2) of the Village’s Code of Ordinances, the Village of Palmetto Bay proposes to adopt the following Ordinance on First Reading requiring a public hearing on the administrative development approval:

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, relating to ADMINISTRATIVE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT APPROVALS; AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, SECTION 30-30.3(D)(2) ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL; PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN THE ALLOWABLE ADMINISTRATIVE VARIANCE PERCENTAGE APPROVAL TO THE LESSER OF TWENTY-FIVE (25%) OR FIVE FEET FOR NON-USE VARIANCE APPLICATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT FOR LOT COVERAGE, SETBACK, HEIGHT, BUFFER, LOT DIMENSION AND/OR FLOOR AREA RATIO (FAR) REQUIREMENTS, UNLESS A PUBLIC HEARING IS REQUIRED; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
