The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Special Council Meeting on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157. The Special Council Meeting was called by Vice Mayor John DuBois, Councilmember Patrick Fiore, and Councilmember Marsha Matson for the purpose to review and discuss the selection of the two attorneys selected for the Downtown Urban Village (DUV) Bert Harris Act Risk Assessment.




REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING/PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Regular Council Meeting on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 7:00 PM (awards, presentations, and proclamations will commence at approximately 6:30 PM). The meeting shall be held at the Village Hall Chambers, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157. 

The following Ordinances shall be heard on Second Reading.  A public hearing shall be held on the following matters:

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO PARKS AND RECREATION; AMENDING CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE 1, AND ARTICLE 2 SEC. 20-87 OF THE VILLAGE’S CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO FEES; PROVIDING FOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.   • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, GRANTING TO FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, A NON-EXCLUSIVE ELECTRIC FRANCHISE, IMPOSING PROVISIONS AND CONDITIONS RELATING THERETO; PROVIDING FOR MONTHLY PAYMENT OF A FRANCHISE FEE T THE VILLAGE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.   • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA RELATING TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP (FLUM) OF THE VILLAGE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; CHANGING FROM “INSTITUTIONAL USE” (“IU”) TO “ESTATE DENSITY RESIDENTIAL” (“EDR”) THE DESIGNATION OF THE PARCEL FORMERLY OCCUPIED BY AN ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATING PLANT, WHICH PARCEL IS BOUNDED ON THE NORTH AND EAST BY THE VILLAGE BOUNDARY, ON THE SOUTH BY SW 152ND STREET, AND ON THE WEST BY PARCELS DESIGNATED AS “ESTATE DENSITY RESIDENTIAL” (“EDR”) (WHICH “EDR” PARCELS ARE BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY SW 67TH AVENUE); AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. (Sponsored by Vice Mayor John DuBois)
