SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Special Council Meeting on Monday, August 20, 2018 at approximately 7:00 p.m. at Ludovici Park - Edward and Arlene Feller Community Room located at 17641 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157. The purpose of this Special Council Meeting is to take action on the following items: 

            (1) Discussion and potential action on a Resolution authorizing the Village Manager to replace a flash signal at SW 82nd Avenue and 163rd Street (sponsored by Mayor Eugene Flinn);

            (2) Discussion and possible motion/resolution regarding actions, including a lawsuit to protect integrity, unwinding of ½ sales taxes (sponsored by Mayor Eugene Flinn);

            (3) Discussion and possible motion/resolution- status of Village Police coverage at area public schools, update on additional negotiations on proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Miami Dade County School Board regarding police services (sponsored by Mayor Eugene Flinn);

            (4) Discussion of Memorandum authorizing the waiver of building permit fees that are related to hurricane hardening (sponsored by Mayor Eugene Flinn); 

            
(5) Time sensitive proposed action memorandums sponsored by the Village Council.


 

SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING/FIRST BUDGET HEARING
Wednesday, September 12, 2018 - 7:00 PM (prior to the Regular Council Meeting)
Municipal Center, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street


The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Special Council Meeting/First Budget Hearing meeting regarding the 2018-19 Operating and Capital Budget on Wednesday, September 12, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., (prior to the Regular Council Meeting). The meeting shall be held in the Village Hall Chambers, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157.  



REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING/PUBLIC HEARING
Wednesday, September 12, 2018 - 7:00 PM (immediately following the First Budget Hearing)

Municipal Center, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Regular Council Meeting/Public Hearings on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 7:00 PM. The meeting shall be held at the Village Hall Chambers, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157. 

The following Ordinances shall be heard on Second Reading.  A public hearing shall be held on the following matters:

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, relating to implementing resolution 2018-65 recommending a funding source for the proposed community center and park improvements; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. (Sponsored by Councilmember David Singer)

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO PROTECTION OF DADE COUNTY PINE INDIVIDUAL; PROVIDING FOR PROTECTION STANDARDS FOR DADE COUNTY PINE INDIVIDUAL (PINUS ELLIOTTII); CREATING SECTION ____ OF THE VILLAGE CODE, PROHIBITING THE DESTRUCTION OF DADE COUNTY PINE TREES, AND FOR MITIGATION OF SUCH DESTRUCTION IS UNAVOIDABLE; REQUIRING PERMITS FOR REMOVAL, RELOCATION OR MITIGATION OF DADE COUNTY PINE TREES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING/SECOND BUDGET HEARING

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall be conducting a Special Council Meeting/Second Budget Hearing meeting regarding the 2018-19 Operating and Capital Budget on Monday, September 24, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting shall be held in the Village Hall Chambers, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157.  


All persons are invited to appear at this meeting, or to be represented by an agent, or to express their views in writing addressed to the Village Council c/o of the Village Clerk, 9705 E. Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157.  The documents pertaining to this public hearing may be inspected at the office of the Village Clerk during regular working hours.  Inquiries may be directed to the Clerk at (305) 259-1234.  The above items may be continued at this meeting and, under such circumstances, additional legal notice would not be provided.  Any person may contact the Village Clerk for information as to the status of this item as a result of the meeting.
