ZONING PUBLIC HEARING

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall conduct a Zoning Public Hearing on Monday, May 21, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., at Village Hall, 9705 East Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL.  Discussion and public input will be welcomed concerning the following item that may be of interest to your immediate neighborhood.

Item 1:  A Resolution is being considered pursuant to section 30-80 of the Village’s Land Development Code regarding Zoning Application No. 16-009:

  • A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO ZONING; PURSUANT TO SECTION 30-80, PLATTING AND SUBDIVISIONS, AUTHORIZING THE PLAT OF CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN THE VILLAGE LOCATED AT 16475 SOUTH DIXIE HIGHWAY, AS MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED IN ATTACHMENT A, CREATING THE PLAT OF A SINGLE PARCEL OF PLAN, FURTHER DEDICATING FOR USE AS A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, THE EAST 25 FEET OF LAND, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Item 2: A Resolution is being considered pursuant to section 30-30.6 and section 30-50.4 of the Village’s Land Development Code regarding Zoning Application No. 18-001:

  • A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO ZONING; PURSUANT TO SECTION 30-30.6, VARIANCES, AND SECTION 30-50.4, E-M ZONING DISTRICT, AUTHORIZING A SETBACK VARIANCE REQUEST FOR MR. TIMOTHY FRANCIS WRIGHT AT 15450 SW 67TH COURT TO PERMIT THE ENCLOSURE OF AN EXISTING SWIMMING POOL AND DECK WITHIN THE SETBACKS OF A PARCEL ZONED ESTATE MODIFIED (E-M); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Item 3:  An Ordinance on Second Reading is being considered pursuant to section 30-50.19 of the Village’s Land Development Code:

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA AND AS THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY, AMENDING SECTION 30-50.19, VILLAGE MIXED-USE DISTRICT (VMU); CLARIFYING THAT THE EXISTING MAXIMUM RESIDENTIAL UNITS PERMITTED UNDER THE EXISTING ZONING CODE IS THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE (389) RESIDENTIAL UNITS (WHICH INCLUDES TRANSFER OF DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS); PROVIDING FOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
