LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY MEETING / PUBLIC HEARING - SECOND READING

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall conduct a Local Planning Agency Meeting and a Public Hearing for Second Reading on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. The public hearing shall be held at Village Hall, 9705 East Hibiscus Street, Council Chambers, Palmetto Bay, Florida.  Discussion and public input will be welcome concerning the following items that may be of interest to your immediate neighborhood. Pursuant to Section 30-30.8 of the Village’s Code of Ordinances, the Village of Palmetto Bay proposes to adopt the following Comprehensive Plan Amendment on Second Reading:


  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA RELATING TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP (FLUM) OF THE VILLAGE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; CHANGING FROM “INSTITUTIONAL USE” (“IU”) TO “ESTATE DENSITY RESIDENTIAL” (“EDR”) THE DESIGNATION OF THE PARCEL FORMERLY OCCUPIED BY AN ELECTRIC POWER GENERATING PLANT, WHICH PARCEL IS BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE VILLAGE BOUNDARY AND THE ELECTRIC SUBSTATION, ON THE EAST BY THE VILLAGE BOUNDARY, ON THE SOUTH BY SW 152ND STREET, AND ON THE WEST BY THE ELECTRIC SUBSTATION AND PARCELS DESIGNATED AS “ESTATE DENSITY RESIDENTIAL” (“EDR”) (WHICH “EDR” PARCELS ARE BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY SW 67TH AVENUE); AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.   • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO ZONING; AMENDING THE ZONING MAP, REFERRED TO IN SEC. 30-10.5, TO CHANGE FROM “INTERIM” (“I”) TO “ESTATE SINGLE FAMILY” (“E-1”) (ONE UNIT PER GROSS ACRE OR MORE) THE PARCEL FORMERLY OCCUPIED BY AN ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATING PLANT, WHICH PARCEL IS BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE VILLAGE BOUNDARY AND THE ELECTRIC SUBSTATION, ON THE EAST BY THE VILLAGE BOUNDARY, ON THE SOUTH BY SW 152ND STREET, AND ON THE WEST BY THE ELECTRIC SUBSTATION AND PARCELS DESIGNATED AS “ESTATE SINGLE FAMILY” (“E-1”) (WHICH “E-1” PARCELS ARE BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY SW 67TH AVENUE); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
