LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY MEETING (preceding the Zoning Hearing)

Village of Palmetto Bay Municipal Center

The Village of Palmetto Bay shall conduct a Local Planning Agency Meeting on Monday, April 15 22, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 9705 East Hibiscus Street, Palmetto Bay, FL. Discussion and public input will be welcomed concerning several items that may be of interest to the community. Items being considered during the Zoning Hearing will be noticed in the near future. 

Pursuant to Section 30-30 of the Village’s Code of Ordinances, the Village of Palmetto Bay proposes to adopt the following Ordinances on First Reading:

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA RELATING TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP (FLUM) OF THE VILLAGE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; CHANGING FROM “INSTITUTIONAL USE” (“IU”) TO “ESTATE DENSITY RESIDENTIAL” (“EDR”) THE DESIGNATION OF THE PARCEL FORMERLY OCCUPIED BY AN ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATING PLANT, WHICH PARCEL IS BOUNDED ON THE NORTH AND EAST BY THE VILLAGE BOUNDARY, ON THE SOUTH BY SW 152ND STREET, AND ON THE WEST BY PARCELS DESIGNATED AS “ESTATE DENSITY RESIDENTIAL” (“EDR”) (WHICH “EDR” PARCELS ARE BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY SW 67TH AVENUE); AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.   • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA RELATING TO ZONING; AMENDING THE ZONING MAP, REFERRED TO IN SEC. 30-10.5, TO CHANGE FROM “INTERIM” (“I”) TO “ESTATE SINGLE FAMILY” (“E-1”) (ONE UNIT PER GROSS ACRE OR MORE) THE PARCEL FORMERLY OCCUPIED BY AN ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATING PLANT, WHICH PARCEL IS BOUNDED ON THE NORTH AND EAST BY THE VILLAGE BOUNDARY, ON THE SOUTH BY SW 152ND STREET, AND ON THE WEST BY PARCELS ZONED “E-1” (WHICH “E-1” PARCELS ARE BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY SW 67TH AVENUE); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS AND PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. (Sponsored by Vice Mayor John DuBois)

  • AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY PASSPORT ACCEPTANCE FACILITY; ADOPTING CHAPTER 32, PASSPORT ACCEPTANCE FACILITY OF THE VILLAGE’S CODE OF ORDINANCES; APPROVING THE FEE SCHEDULE; PROVIDING FOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. (Sponsored by Village Clerk Missy Arocha)
