Volunteering for Parks

PARKares 4 Volunteers

Our volunteers make an enormous commitment in dedicating their valuable time and skills to our Parks & Recreation Department and the community as a whole.  Many of our volunteers assist our recreation staff with the set-up and breakdown of special events, and also with the coordination and supervision during the events.

Volunteering provides a unique opportunity to share your skills and even learn new ones, network and meet new friends.  Many of our volunteers are high school students seeking community-service hours.  Our village welcomes these opportunities and many of our past student volunteers feel happy and accomplished in providing a service to others and to their community.  In the Village, we truly appreciate your time, energy, assistance, and enthusiastic involvement.  It is your hard work and dedication that the Village is able to provide quality and affordable community events.

"Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy.  You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in."
