Traffic Circle @ 82nd Avenue

Project Description:

Following the approval of the required county permits, Palmetto Bay, in partnership with Miami-Dade County, started the construction of the traffic circle at the intersection of SW 82nd Avenue and SW 168th Street/ Richmond Drive.  Construction activities started in August 2017 and were completed on schedule by the end of the month. Other improvements including landscaping and a public art component are also planned for the circle.  Additionally, the Village is considering the expansion of the circle area to better accommodate larger vehicles and trailers.  More information to follow.

Project Scope:

  • Removal of traffic signals
  • Construction of a traffic circle to include drainage
  • Paving and Striping the road
  • Incorporation of bike lanes
  • Upgrading pedestrian ramps to current standards
  • Installing signage and pavement markings
  • Installation of Pedestrian Crosswalks with refuge island

Regular Hours
Monday - Friday:  7:00 am to 5:00 pm (Saturday optional) 

Extended Hours
Hours have been extended to expedite the completion of the project, as follows:

Monday - Friday:  7 am to 8:30 pm (or sundown)
Saturdays & Sundays:  8 am to 6 pm
