Traffic Circle @ 168th Street and 82nd Avenue

Project Description:

Following the approval of the required county permits, Palmetto Bay, in partnership with Miami-Dade County, started the construction of the traffic circle at the intersection of SW 82nd Avenue and SW 168th Street/ Richmond Drive.  Construction activities started in August 2017 and were completed on schedule by the end of the month. 

Other upcoming improvements include a public art component which is also planned for the circle.

Project Scope:

  • Removal of traffic signals
  • Construction of a traffic circle to include drainage
  • Paving and Striping the road
  • Incorporation of bike lanes
  • Upgrading pedestrian ramps to current standards
  • Installing signage and pavement markings
  • Installation of Pedestrian Crosswalks with refuge island

Regular Hours
Monday - Friday:  7:00 am to 5:00 pm (Saturday optional) 

Extended Hours
Hours have been extended to expedite the completion of the project, as follows:

Monday - Friday:  7 am to 8:30 pm (or sundown)
Saturdays & Sundays:  8 am to 6 pm
