Notice Regarding Former FPL Property

We'd like to let residents know of developments regarding the 71-acre property at SW 67th Avenue and SW 152nd Street in Palmetto Bay.  On Wednesday, April 17, 2019 the owner of the property, Yacht Club by Luxcom, withdrew an application for residential development.  Instead, Yacht Club by Luxcom has informed the Village of Palmetto Bay, via Letter of Intent, that they will be submitting a site plan request for the development of a 200-bed hospital, complete with emergency service, helipad and future other uses,  Their application will be reviewed by the Palmetto Bay Planning and Zoning Department.  Also yesterday, Yacht Club by Luxcom filed a lawsuit against the Village of Palmetto Bay over our zoning process.  We will continue to keep you informed on this matter.
