2 PM WEATHER ADVISORY: The Miami-Dade County Office of Emergency Management is monitoring Tropical Depression 13 in the Atlantic Ocean.

Current location: 16.0N / 52.8W 
Maximum Sustained Wind Speed: 35 MPH
Forward Speed: 21 MPH
Forward Direction: WNW

Potential for further development or weakening: Tropical Depression 13 continues to move briskly west-northwestward. The track forecast philosophy has not changed from the previous forecast and is expected to move near or north of the Northern Leeward Islands by late Friday and near or north of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Saturday. Gradual strengthening is forecast, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm by later today.

Potential Impact for Miami-Dade County: Miami-Dade County is within the 5 Day Cone and the earliest potential for the arrival of tropical storm force winds are forecast for Monday at 8:00 PM.
