A motion was passed by the Village Council during last night’s Special Meeting to remove the temporary road delineators installed on SW 84 Avenue and SW 165 Terrace.  The delineators were part of a pilot program approved by Council back in December pursuant to Resolutions 2016-131 and 2016-94.   The delineators were to remain in place for a period not to exceed 90 days to allow for the collection of traffic data in the area and determine whether diverting the traffic on SW 165 Terrace would effectively reduce the cut-through traffic on those neighborhood roads.  However, Miami-Dade County has directed the Village to remove the delineators.  Many residents and neighbors who attended last night’s Special Council meeting were also in favor of removing the devices.  Accordingly, the Village Council motioned for the immediate removal of the delineators.  Removal is expected to be completed today.
