Sec. 2-11.l (bb) of the County Ethics Code mandates each elected official shall, within ninety (90) days after being sworn into office complete a course offered by the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust.
The Ethics Commission presents a two-hour program to fulfill that obligation which covers the Miami-Dade Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics Ordinance and Citizens' Bill of Rights, Florida's Sunshine and Public Records Laws, as well as relevant provisions of the State Ethics Code for Public Officials and Employees.
