[ARCHIVED] Village Attorney Retiring

At last night's regular council meeting, Attorney Dexter Lehtinen announced he is retiring from his post as Palmetto Bay Village Attorney. While he said he is not retiring from the practice of law, Mr. Lehtinen reflected, "It's been five years, three mayors, and it's been a lot of fun; ten council members, two Village Managers and two clerks. So it's probably time for new blood and for me to do some international travel." Mayor Cunningham and each member of Council praised Mr. Lehtinen for his professionalism, wisdom and guidance. He announced that at their discretion, he will be staying through 2019 until a replacement can be found.
