At the inaugural meeting of the Village Youth Advisory Council's first meeting Oct. 26, Charles Noguera was elected Chair and Katie Signori was elected Secretary/Recorder. "This group is off to a great start and is filled with exciting new ideas on how to engage our community's youth in government and local events," the Councilwoman reported. Mayor Flinn and Councilwoman Cunningham serve as co-liaisons. “I am proud to serve as the co-liaison along-side the Mayor to this dynamic committee," she continued. "As we move forward, it is important to capture the voices of all stakeholders in our community." Over 29 percent of our community is under the age of 19 years old. The Youth Advisory Council will represent and help make recommendations to the Council on how to best engage our youth in local government.
