Councilwoman Cunningham continued a five-year holiday tradition in District 1 of delivering turkeys and all the fixings to local residents in need of a holiday meal. “Working with Christ Fellowship Church Pastor Jorge Molina and Local Missions Director Gigi Delgado, we received bountiful Thanksgiving meal boxes pre-assembled by church volunteers,” the Councilwoman said. “They were very receptive and willing to help share some of their prepared meals to help our local residents.” Honored to carry on this Council tradition started five years ago by former Councilmember Patrick Fiore, she added, “We are in our third year of working on the project together, and we are gratified to know our work is so appreciated by the community.” Councilwoman Cunningham was joined again this year by Vice Mayor John Dubois as well as Mr. Fiore. “Many people have gone through periods when they could use a helping hand. This is one of my favorite initiatives and I enjoy helping to make the deliveries to some of our housebound seniors and families that need a little assistance.” See Facebook Photo Gallery for more.
