September is National Suicide Month. Suicide is preventable. Youth who are contemplating suicide frequently give warning signs. Do not be afraid to ask about suicidal thoughts. Never take warning signs lightly or promise to keep them secret. If you or someone you know is suicidal, seek assistance immediately by contacting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK(8255) or the Crisis Text Line by texting “HOME” to 741741.
