[ARCHIVED] FDOT Scheduled Roadway Project Underway

All traffic on SW 152 Street/Coral Reef Drive from just west of SW 93 Avenue to just west of SW 97 Avenue has been shifted to the south side of the roadway. The westbound and eastbound travel lanes have been reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the southside of the roadway.  This traffic pattern will be in effect for approximately three more weeks to allow the contractor to repair and resurface the north section of the bridge over the C-100 Canal. This a temporary modification in traffic flow.

Beginning today though Friday, July 7, there will be alternating single lane closures on Coral Reef Drive/SW 152 Street from US-1 to Florida’s Turnpike between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. to allow the contractor to reconstruct sections of sidewalks and pedestrian ramps.

The entire project is expected to be completed in March 2018.

Please note that this schedule may change due to bad weather or other unexpected conditions.

FDOT began a roadway construction project the week of May 22, 2017 along State Road (SR) 992/SW 152 Street/Coral Reef Drive from SR 821/HEFT/Florida’s Turnpike to SR 5/US 1/South Dixie Highway. Daytime lane closures can be expected from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Entrances to properties will be kept open and detours will be used while the contractor performs work at intersections and side streets.

For more information on the project, please click here or call FDOT’s Public Information Office at 305-470-5349.

Drivers are encouraged to call 511 before they travel or log on to www.fl511.com to get real-time traffic and lane closure information. FDOT would like to remind drivers that wearing a safety belt is the single most effective way to protect people and reduce fatalities in motor vehicle crashes. Please drive cautiously in construction zones.
