Her name is Karyn Cunningham and she is Palmetto Bay’s Mayor. Her love for the Village of Palmetto Bay began in 1996 upon her arrival to this community. With over three decades of experience in the teaching field, she took that drive and passion into Palmetto Bay politics. She began as a member of the Education Advisory Board and then she ran for Council seat one. After having served on the Council for about three years, she decided to take a leap of faith and run for the Mayoral seat. As they say, the rest is history! Watch this video on her plans moving forward and how she wants all residents from the young to the young at heart to continue to live, work, learn and play in Palmetto Bay.
