[ARCHIVED] Palmetto Senior High Alumni Association Scholarships

For the fourth year, the Palmetto Senior High Alumni Association awarded scholarships to graduating seniors who have been active members of the Miami Palmetto Senior High School community during their high school years. Four deserving students received $1500 and a lifetime membership to the Alumni Association. In addition to the four annual scholarships, this year one scholarship was given in honor of Miami Palmetto Senior High Counselor Harry Nerenberg ($1500) and another was awarded in the amount of $1000 by South Miami Kendall Bar Association and Panter and Panter.

“It is very rewarding to be able to give back and help mentor at my Alma Mater, Palmetto Senior High. Each year the number and quality of the applicants for these scholarships grows. It is a difficult job in choosing the best of the best because all the candidates possess amazing test scores, GPAs and extra-curricular activities! Miami Palmetto Senior High is truly a magical place and one we can be very proud of.”, said Councilwoman Cunningham.
