[ARCHIVED] Palmetto Bay 2020 Election

Based on a meeting held between the Village Clerk and the Miami-Dade County Elections Department this morning and the un-official cumulative results provided by Miami-Dade County Election, the race of Vice Mayor did not receive a number of votes greater than 50% of the total ballots cast as per the Village Charter.  Therefore, Palmetto Bay will proceed accordingly with a run-off election scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Candidate Steve Cody received votes greater than 50% for Councilmember Seat 2.  Visit County's Election Results page to see which amendments passed in Palmetto Bay.

The swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected officials will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 prior to the Regular Council Meeting.  More information to follow.

The unofficial results of the election shall be provided by Miami-Dade County on Friday, November 6, 2020 and the official results signed by County Judges shall become available on Friday, November 13, 2020 once all provisional ballots are accounted for.

Congratulations to all of the Palmetto Bay candidates that participated in the Village’s elections and especially to Mr. Steve Cody for his win.
