[ARCHIVED] Miami-Dade Mayor Declares State Of Emergency Ahead Of Eta

Weather Alert

STATE OF EMERGENCY: Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez has declared a State of Emergency as they continue to monitor Eta. Based on Tropical Depression Eta's current track, we may experience an extended period of heavy rainfall and gusty winds through the weekend. Up to 10 inches of rain are expected through Monday.
An evacuation center will be opened on Saturday at 2 pm. at the Fairgrounds located at 10901 Coral Way, Gate 2 for residents living in mobile homes and low-lying areas, or for those who need refuge. Please bring necessities, including blankets, pillows, medicine and required facial coverings.
