A hybrid Special Council meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 7 pm. The following resolution will be considered:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, PURSUANT TO SECTION 164.1057, FLORIDA STATUTES, TO RESOLVE THE FLORIDA GOVERNMENTAL CONFLICT ACTION FILED BY THE VILLAGE CONTESTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SW 87TH AVENUE BRIDGE, CONDITIONED ON THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS’ APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The Village Council held a Special Council Meeting on March 22, 2021 to invoke the Conflict Resolution Procedure with the Miami-Dade County Transportation Planning Organization regarding the construction of a bridge on SW 87th Avenue over the C-100 canal. During the Special Council meeting scheduled for September 2, 2021, the Council will consider whether to approve an Interlocal Agreement between Palmetto Bay and Miami-Dade County.
