During the Regular Council Meeting that took place on Monday, April 4, 2022, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Alan Cominsky presented an overview of fire services in the Village. As part of the presentation, Chief Cominsky shared the response times for life emergencies and fires in Palmetto Bay compared to Miami-Dade County as a whole. Needless to say, the Village's prioritization and support for fire services for the residents has paid off. Our average response times are well below those of the county. For life threatening emergencies, response time in the village is 6:28 minutes compared to 7:27 countywide. For fires, response time in the Village is an average of 6:48 minutes compared to 7:38 minutes countywide. To see the full presentation, please click below:
