[ARCHIVED] Never Forget

two first responders raising the American flag

We will never forget the day that changed the world as we knew it.

Twenty-one years have come and gone, yet that day is ingrained in our minds and hearts. From the nearly 3,000 people that lost their lives that day, their families and loved ones, first responders, some who have had medical repercussions of that day and to the millions watching it all on live television.

September 11 shattered our sense of safety, our belief that we had enough barriers and protection against aggression.  However, we would learn how to live with this underlying fear, which became our norm.

So yes, it did change us, it changed us forever, fundamentally.  And, as one nation, we came together to show the world that the United States of America would stand tall and free!
