The Village knows how important pets are to our seniors; they not only provide companionship, but they also improve quality of life and even mental health. To help maintain this crucial bond between our most vulnerable residents and their furry family members, the Village Council has adopted the SAVE (Senior Assistance for Veterinary Emergency) program. Palmetto Bay residents 62 and older who receive social security can apply for up to $250 in reimbursement for emergency pet care, easing some of the anxiety and financial strain during their pet’s health crisis. See our website for full details of the program along with instructions for applying.
