Miami-Dade County launched the new Metro Express Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRT) on Monday, October 27, 2025. As part of this new service, the County has informed the Village that the I-Bus may no longer operate along the Transitway.
As a result, the I-Bus must now travel along surface roads, which are more prone to traffic delays. Due to the increased travel times experienced by our drivers, the Village will reduce the number of afternoon routes from 8 to 6 and adjust the pick-up schedule, effective Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
