Councilwoman Cunningham hosted second grader Natalia Quick as Councilwoman for the Day on May 7th. Natalia got to meet with Village Charter Officers and Directors to get a taste of how business is conducted at Village Hall. She was even able to call the roll for the General Council Meeting and had the opportunity to discuss agenda items with the Village Attorney, Dexter Lehtinen. Natalia also participated in the Youth Community Involvement Board meeting.
"Having the opportunity to see government in action is important for our youth. Though they are young, they have many great ideas and knowing how to put voice their ideas and see them through to implementation is a great way for our children to see that their voice matters.", said Councilwoman Cunningham. "This is my favorite day of the year!"
