How to File a Complaint Against a Contractor
The Contractor Licensing and Code Compliance Division of the Miami-Dade County Building Code Compliance Office investigates complaints involving Miami-Dade County contractors, including the work of unlicensed contractors. To file a complaint, visit the Miami-Dade County Building Code Compliance Office and download the complaint form.
State Agency
If the contractor involved is state licensed, you need to also file a complaint with the
State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
For information on the filing of complaints with DBPR, please call 305-513-3437. In order to register your complaint, please complete the complaint form, with signature and seal from a Notary Public.
